Warcop Parish Council Meeting Wednesday 25th May 7:30 pm

The next meeting of Warcop Parish Council takes place on Wednesday 25th May at 7:30 pm in the Meeting Room of the new Parish Hall. All members of the community are very welcome.

About Warcop

Warcop is a pretty village and civil parish in the Eden district of Cumbria, England. It is near the A66 road and is 5 miles north of Kirkby Stephen and about 5 miles south of Appleby-in-Westmorland.

It holds an annual “Rushbearing Festival” each year in late June and a community Ghost Walk near to Halloween. Warcop can boast the oldest usable bridge over the river Eden, which dates from the 1300s or earlier. It has a vibrant new Parish Hall and a very successful Primary School. Its pub, The Chamley Arms, is currently being renovated with a view to re-opening.
