Cumbria Highways have informed us of a temporary road closure from the 5th August for 5 days to re-surface a stretch of the B6259 from the Parish Hall to the turn for Sandford. Diversions will be in place as per the message below:
Please find attached location plan detailing the extents of a temporary road closure which has been put in place to allow Cumbria Highways to carry out carriageway resurfacing, footway construction and associated works.
These works are due to commence 5th August 2019 and have an approx. duration of 5 days.
Location: A section of the B6259 Warcop, from its junction with the U3259, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 1km.
Alternative Route: A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the C3070, A66 and unrestricted section of the B6259.
