New Saturday 563 Service to start in April!

I am happy to announce the start of the new Saturday 563 bus service from 1 April. The attached A5 flyer is being printed and will be distributed in villages along the route as soon as possible.

Warcop Parish Council is contributing financially to help support this much-needed initiative. The bus will call at Warcop four times on the way out and three times on the way back. Passengers will be able to travel to Kirkby Stephen as well as Appleby or Penrith.

Here is a copy of the flyer and timetable:

Good News! Improvements and Additions to Current Services.

  1. We have been informed that the Western Dales S6 service is to be extended to Thursdays.
  2. In addition, the Friday Community Wheels continues and Cumbria County Council minibus is now located at Warcop Parish Hall. Because of this, the route has been amended to go from Sandford, Warcop to Great Asby and into Warcop. You have to sign up for a prepayment card and details can be found on this poster:

3. A new Stagecoach Saturday 563 is to be trialled from April for 16 weeks initially. This will run from Kirkby Stephen to Brough, Warcop, Appleby to Penrith at least 4 times a day. Warcop Parish Council has agreed to contribute to the costs of this, along with other Parish and Town Councils.

Here is a draft timetable:

All single bus fares are a maximum of £2 on the Western Dales Bus S6 Sedbergh to Penrith (Tuesday) bus service from 3 January to 31 March 2023. This reduction comes from a national funded Government funded initiative and applies to many bus services in Cumbria.
