Ghost Walk a Spooktacular Success!

This year’s Ghost Walk around Warcop attracted 127 people including lots of youngsters in Halloween costume (and quite a few adults!) This shows how it continues to grow with some people coming from afar to experience the scares and surprises. On a perfect, cold moonlit night, walkers were treated to a poetic story brilliantly delivered by the fabulous Juliet Golding. A scary ride on a Ghost Train proved a big hit and thanks to the Stainmore Railway guys for all their hard work and creative contributions! There were fireworks at Warcop Hall to round off an eerie evening of collecting ghosts, monsters and zombies from around the village.

Refreshments were served back at the Parish Hall and the best pumpkin lanterns and fancy dress costumes judged and prizes awarded. Overall, the evening raised £220 for hall funds.
